Since its founding in 1947, the Kiwanis Club of South Arlington has been an integral part of the local area’s social safety net, with an emphasis on improving the lives of youth. Today, funds raised by the club supports a host of local efforts. Among them, we boost the work of the Arlington Food Assistance Center, Arlington Free Clinic, Aspire! Afterschool Learning, the Arlington Community Foundation, Arlington Pediatric Center, a number of food pantries and more!
Promote civic engagement
In 2024, the Kiwanis Club of Arlington inaugurated its “Legendary Service Award,” presented to a community leader for longstanding, consistent involvement in making the lives of local youth better. Our first recipient was former U.S. Rep. Jim Moran. (Find full coverage here: https://tinyurl.com/repmoran2024)

Make a broader contribution
The Kiwanis Club of South Arlington supports the Kiwanis District Foundation, which provides grants to worthy organizations across the region, and the Kiwanis Children’s Fund, which targets its efforts on projects that improve the lives of youth in some of the world’s most impoverished areas.
